Snow Storm Still Raging

Woke up this morning to see the storm raging. The snow fall has stop but the wind is whipping the white powder around. The poor squirrels have to abort the spring dance for a while. It's wise to stay put if I can, though I must cross the street to the library for the 4 o'clock interview.

Life's just too exciting. Was going to scan in some old pics, but bumped into the script-fu tutorial. Must do that! It will save me so much time if I learn to use this. But first, I need to show off the cuddle quilt I made for this year for SSQG. Didn't get to show it off yesterday because the the meeting was cancelled by the snow.

Ready to move on

Done is good! The journey under the "Cloak of Imagining" has come to an end. I have learned much. I am ready to move on.

Transformation Block #1

Can't let the weekend drift by without publishing this.

I was happy that the quilting for the "Cloak of Imagination" is done!
Only to find out that my free motion foot has become a causalty.
Tried out the "leave net" of Laurie Swim.
Bringing closure to the UFO under her name is also a good thing.
Can't say I'm not pleased with the result.

When Butterfly Takes Wing

That beautiful summer day in June last year,
I hung out the old carpet to air.
I was amazed when I saw it covered with butterflies,
Quite a sight!




The driving force behind this block is very complex.
May be someday will understand.
